How celebrities are celebrating Mother’s day 2021? Once again, Mother’s Day has here, and our newsfeeds are flooded with lovely postings paying honour to mothers everywhere. 

After all, nothing on Instagram screams “I love you mom” quite like a lovely flashback photo! (Well, a present may also be a nice suggestion.)

Not to mention all the celebrities who are mothers themselves, many celebrities have used social media to pay tribute to their mothers. 

Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner, Victoria Monét, and Billie Lourd are just a few of the celebrities who have recently become mothers.

1. Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid is enjoying her first Mother’s Day as a mother after giving birth to her first child, Khai, in September. 

The model shared numerous images of her little child on Instagram with the caption, “The rumours are true: my closest friend, purpose, muse, greatest pride & pleasure.”

“I feel very blessed and motivated to be your mother, my Khai! You are a radiant old soul who brightens everyone’s day!

In addition to recognising her accomplishments as a mother, Gigi remembered her own mother, Yolanda Hadid. 

Cheers to you, @yolanda.hadid, the most inspirational mother and finest oma we could ever want, and to our angels up above! Next to a picture of Yolanda’s wedding, Gigi wrote. “Our affection for you transcends words. ever-lasting gratitude

2. Halsey

The singer-songwriter, who is also getting ready to have a child, today posted a few precious old images to honour her mother. 

“They always say, ‘Oh no! Don’t become like your mum. When you finally do, they never tell you how amazing it is. Chick, happy Mother’s Day.

3. Sofia Carson

I love you to our smiling moon and back, Sofia said besides a cute black-and-white snapshot of herself and her mother. 

I’m grateful infinity and beyond. Ma, you have my whole heart. Your Sofia, forever and ever and ever.

4. Kaitlyn Dever

The actress honoured her mother with a sweet picture of the two smiling on the beach and referred to her as “My shopping companion, coffee buddy, the one who makes me laugh the most, the person that provides the greatest advise, my best friend” in a tribute to her.

5. Michelle Obama

Reminiscing about all the experiences they had together over the years, the former first lady shared a snapshot of her mother taken when she was travelling in China. Michelle stated, “My mom has always been my rock. 

From the days I spent as a youngster around the pool at the cottage we used to rent out in Michigan, to the times in Chicago when she’d come over before daybreak to babysit the kids so I could work out, to every minute she spent with us in the White House.

6. Barack Obama

Michelle received her own tribute post from the former president, as in previous years. He commented next to a picture of the happy pair, “On this Mother’s Day, I want to congratulate Michelle for being such a great parent to our daughters.” 

“And I hope you’ll take the time to appreciate the ladies in your life who love you in that unique way that mothers do: birth, adoptive, and foster mothers; single mothers; grandmothers; godmothers; aunts; mentors”

7. Vice President Kamala Harris

Harris paid tribute to her mother with a charming vintage image. “My mother, Shyamala Gopalan, emigrated to the United States from India to seek a career in science,” the vice president said. She set out to nurture my sister Maya and me as well as discover a breast cancer treatment. She, along with other mothers who support, encourage, and love us, has my unending thanks.
