In the What NYC Sounds Like TikTok channel, DD Osama made an appearance to talk about the day his brother passed away.
The budding rapper said that he learned about the stabbing through his phone and fought back tears as he spoke about his grief.
I was still wondering, ‘What if I stay?’,” he said. in the video. He would really be here today if I had just spent more time with him.
The interviewer said that others had attempted to imply that DD had abandoned Notti, but DD refuted this, saying, “If I had been there at the time, he would be here right now.”
Notti lost his life during a confrontation that started between him and a 15-year-old at the New York City subway stop of City College West 137th Street.
The budding drill rapper died away not far from his house. Notti was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital by emergency personnel following the stabbing, but he was later declared dead.
The heartfelt homage to his brother that appears on DD’s Instagram profile says, “Everything I do is for Notti Osama.”
